A 4-week live course for parents who want to better understand and support their neurodivergent child at home. Through a Montessori lens, we will explore autism, ADHD, sensory needs, executive functioning, emotional regulation, routines, independence, and the role of the adult. Parents will leave with practical tools, simple scripts, and realistic support rooted in calm and connection.

What to expect

• Four live Zoom sessions over one month

• One session per week

• 90 minutes per session

• Simple weekly handouts

• Visual routine templates: morning, bedtime, after school, homework, and screen time.

• Calm-down plan template for parent and child.

• Scripts for meltdowns, refusal, transitions, sibling conflict, screen time, and bedtime.

Week 1 Seeing the Child Differently

Understanding neurodivergence, behavior as communication, and the Montessori view of development.

Week 2 The Prepared Parent and the Nervous System

Co-regulation, parent triggers, emotional safety, and how adult regulation changes the home.

Week 3 Autism, ADHD, and Everyday Challenges

Understanding sensory processing, executive functioning, communication, transitions, and emotional regulation.

Week 4 The Montessori Home: Routines, Independence, and Limits

Creating practical systems at home using prepared environment, freedom within limits, practical life, and respectful discipline.

Maria Chaffin

Maria Chaffin is a Montessori educator, school founder, speaker, and consultant with a background in special education and Montessori. She is the founder of Seeds of Life Montessori Academy and Montessori Behavior, where she supports teachers, schools, and families in creating more inclusive, respectful, and developmentally responsive environments for children.

With years of experience working with neurodivergent children, educators, and parents, Maria brings a practical and compassionate approach rooted in Montessori philosophy, child development, and nervous system regulation. Her work helps adults better understand children’s behavior, support independence, and create calmer, more connected homes and classrooms.
