Founder and Owner
Hi, Iām MarĆa Eva Chaffin, Montessori educator, inclusion specialist, and passionate advocate for neurodivergent children.
Iām the founder and owner of Seeds of Life Montessori Academy in Sarasota, Florida, where for the past five years Iāve had the joy and responsibility of leading a school grounded in respect, inclusion, and deep trust in the child. Originally from Venezuela, I bring not only decades of experience in education but also a heart rooted in culture, connection, and compassion.
Iāve been trained in Montessori and have worked in the field for over 25 years, supporting children across a wide range of learning profiles, especially those who are often misunderstood or underserved in traditional environments. Iām deeply committed to creating learning spaces where every child feels safe, seen, and supported.
Iām also an adult with ADHD, diagnosed later in life. That part of my story gives me a unique perspective, I understand what it feels like when the world doesnāt match your wiring. That lived experience shapes everything I do, from supporting students to coaching educators with empathy and intention.
I created Montessori Behavior to help guides, teachers, and families move beyond compliance-based thinking and approach behavior through a lens of development, nervous system regulation, and unconditional respect.
And beyond my work, Iām a proud mom to a 16-year-old who has been in Montessori since he was 18 months old. Being a mother continues to deepen the way I show up, or children, for families, and for the educators I support every day.
